According to Jennifer's friend Erika Vance, the church-going girls were tough on their instructors: "We went through four Sunday school teachers at the church. It's not that we were bad, but we were a lot to handle."

Lawrence, who's known for her goofy, off-the-cuff remarks today ("I beat Meryl," anyone?), has always been a jokester. Friend Kaley Seldon recalled, "We made a lemonade stand and instead of using sugar just put salt and pepper in the hot water and sold them to people in our neighborhood... We'd make them try it and it was horrible, and we'd just video it."

She clearly has always loved hamming it up for the camera.

Still, she seemed to be the life of the party among her crew.

The daughter of Gary, a construction worker, and Karen, who ran a day camp for kids, also once tried to jump out of a moving school bus when a bus driver didn't stop at their usual drop-off point. She was reading the bookRansom and suspected she was being kidnapped. "They skipped our stop and the driver still didn't let us off, so Jen said, 'If I jump out of the back of the bus will you all follow?" Nobody thought she would do it so they agreed. But out of nowhere she just lifts up the emergency exit and leaps out. I've never seen anyone run so fast. It was like she took five steps in the air. No one followed her, not one person. It's illegal to do that as well. The next day she was supposed to get suspended but instead she told them she had PTSD over the incident after reading the book and they ended up giving her a week off homework."

Although she looked happy, Lawrence has revealed that she struggled with anxiety and never really felt comfortable until she discovered acting. "I was a weirdo," she told Vogue in August 2013. "I've always just had this weird anxiety. I hated recess. I didn't like field trips. Parties really stressed me out. And I had a very different sense of humor."

A few of Jennifer Lawrence's longtime friends have shared some vintage photos of the star taken while they were growing up together in Louisville, Kentucky. They became pals after meeting in the youth program at the Christ Church United Methodist church and lived within two miles of one another, according to the Daily Mail.

The future A-lister finished her education via homeschooling two years earlier than her peers with a 3.9 GPA, already set on becoming an actress. Her first roles came in 2006 with a bit part in the TV series Monk and a made-for-TV movie.

Lawrence also had fun on the bumper cars at a local hangout while in her shimmery frock.
